Yoruba Actors and Actresses celebrate Jide Kosoko at 60

Prominent actors and actresses in the Yoruba movie industry turned out en masse to celebrate veteran actor Jide Kosoko, who turned 60 on Sunday, January 12, 2014.

At a party put together by Seun Oloketuyi of Best of Nollywood to honour the thespian, Kosoko told NET correspondent that he was highly honoured by the celebration.

‘It is a great feeling to be honoured by people who consider you an influence in their lives. Most importantly, I am grateful to God for having led me through all these years. I must say I am a fulfilled man,’ he said.

Popular actress Iyabo Ojo, who also spoke to NET, lauded the ex-ANTP President for the impact he has had on her and other actors’  careers.

‘He is indeed a great man that has had a lot of impact in our lives. We are proud to be associated with him and we wish him all the best in life,’ Ojo said.

Other popular faces at the event included Henrietta Kosoko, Fathia Balogun, Oga Bello, Antar Laniyan, Doris Simeon and Yemi Solade.

The two-in-one event kicked off in the morning at the Eagles Park, Ikeja, with a lecture titled ‘Paradigm Shift to Excellence and Global Market’, while the party held at TROY Lounge, Ogba, Lagos.
