NIGERIA (Kano)- Following the mass defection of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers in Kano State to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Speaker of the Assembly, Gambo Salau has resigned his position.

He disclosed this in a statement yesterday that the resignation was sequel to the mass defection of the lawmakers.

Salau added that the defection to the opposition party contradicts his principles, but he added that he is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
