Hon Sugar Sets to organize Inter Secondary School Competition

In his effort to ensuring that every member of the state benefits from his philanthropist and productive leadership gestures, the member representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency and chairman, house committee on urban development and regional planning, Hon. Temitope Olatoye through his foundation, the Olatoye Sugar Foundation, OSF is set to organize an inter secondary school competition across Oyo state.

In a statement released to CEOAfrica by the senior special adviser on communication and strategy, Dr. Tunde Amsat, said the Inter Secondary School Competition is organize to awaken the spirit of learning and excellence among the youth in Oyo State.

  Honorable Dr. Olatoye Temitope Sugar believes so much in education as the best legacy that can be given to our youth for better tomorrow. He futher said that the competition will cut across  the public and private secondary schools in the state.

According to the statement, there will be local government based examination which has been slated for Saturday 7th April, 2018 and the final state examination, scheduled to hold on Saturday 21st April, 2018 while the grand finale has been slated for any Wednesday in the month of June.

The breakdown of prizes and awards in the competition shows that, the thirty three winners emerging from the local government based examination will have their Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, fees paid by the foundation. Also, at the state based examination, the overall best student will be given scholarship to study in any higher institution of choice in the country, laptop and a plague while the school will be rewarded with a school bus.

The first runner up will go home with a laptop with two years scholarship to study in any of the public higher institution in the country while the school will be given two sets of desktop computers. There will be prizes of a laptop with one year scholarship to study in any public higher institution in the country for the second runner up while the school will be rewarded with a set of desktop computer.

According to the information made available by Dr. Amsat, online registration for the competition has commenced on Monday 19th February and is expected to close on Tuesday 20th March, 2018. To register, schools can visit www.olatoyetemitopesugar.com.
