As part of preparations for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will play a friendly match with the To Peiratiko of Greece on June 3 in New York, USA.

The match is believed to be one of the series of tune-up matches the Major League Soccer has announced it is organising from May 27 to June 10 as part of its "Road to Brazil" series of international tune-up matches.

It would be recalled that the MLS, on Monday, announced that Nigeria and seven other countries including reigning world champions, Spain, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Greece have confirmed participation in the series to be organised by Soccer United Marketing, the commercial arm of the MLS.

Nigeria Football Federation General Secretary, Barrister Musa Ahmadu said the Super Eagles have set up a training camp in the USA and will be in God's-Own-Country from May 27 to June 10,incidentally the dates the MLS have set for the games to hold.

'I cannot confirm or denying the information. What I can confirm is that the Super Eagles will be in the USA from May 27 to June 10 for their pre-World Cup camping. We are trying to organise two tune-up games for them but I can’t confirm names of the countries they will be playing now until everything has been finalized, ‘ he said.

The MLS has however revealed that it will release full details of the matches, venues, tickets and potential additional participants at a later date.

Meanwhile ESPN has revealed that the Super Eagles will play against the USA on June 7 in Miami, Florida.

The match is part of USA's pre-World Cup tour that will take the team through some major states in America.

The final game of the tour will take place in Florida against reigning African champions Nigeria, multiple ESPN sources said, with Everbank Field in Jacksonville emerging as the early favorite to host that match.

"We're still in discussions with venues and opponents, and at this time none of our send-off matches have been finalized," U.S. Soccer spokesman Neil Buethe told ESPNFC.com on Saturday. "We hope to have an announcement in the near future."
