Chrisland University, Owode, Abeokuta, held her 3rd matriculation ceremony for the newly admitted students for 2017/2018 academic session.

The programme which took place at the main auditorium of the university had in attendance the Chancellor and founder of the University, High Chief Dr. (Mrs) Winifred Awosika, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. [Mrs] Chinedum Peace Babalola, members of the Governing Council led by Barr. Bankole Awosika, the guest speaker, Prof. Oladapo Walker, representatives of the ministry of education and other top government functionaries, the management team led by the registrar, Mr. Abiodun Lawale, staff and parents of the matriculants.
In his speech, the guest speaker , Prof. Oladapo Walker congratulated the newly admitted students for another feat achieved in their lives.

Speaking further, the former World Health Organization (WHO) representative to Ugandan charged the students to put in their best in ensuring they become good and worthy ambassadors of their respective families.
Prof. Walker further enjoined the students not to be distracted by what they see in their new environment ,noting that their parents would no longer have access to what they do, now that they are in school.
He also admonished them to key into the different life transforming opportunities their new environment will offer especially in the area of vocational or skills acquisition programmes, emphasizing that they should see themselves as wealth creators and not always the other way round.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola in her speech congratulated the matriculatants for being among those who made it through to the university having sat for the unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) with two million candidates.
She charged the matriculatants to be determined in their quest to achieving greatness in life and the need for them to avail themselves the opportunities that abound in Chrisland University especially in the area of entrepreneurship programme.
Prof. Chinedum said "out of over two million people who took jamb last year, only two hundred thousand got into the university. So, you are very special. You are just the ten percent chosen out of so many. So, congratulations once again to you."

While taking the charge, the Chancellor and founder of Chrisland University, High Chief [Dr.] Winifred Awosika also congratulated the students for achieving another feat in their journey to greatness.
Dr. Awosika therefore charged the matriculants to see themselves as children of excellence because that is what Chrisland University stands for.
While praying to God to bring to reality the dream and potentials of the matriculants, the founder of Chrisland University also appreciated the parents for their efforts in ensuring that their children toll the path of excellence.

Highpoint of the event was the formal presentation of the newly admitted students and the oath taking of allegiance by the matriculants.
