ANGOLA-The secretary for organisation, peripheral and rural mobilisation of the ruling MPLA party?s provincial committee of Luanda, Bento Kangamba, has recently criticised the attitude of some citizens who sell residences which they have acquired through a governmental programme, in the ambit of ongoing resettlement and re-housing projects.
Bento Kangamba made this statement when commenting about information issued by the provincial authorities, according to which several citizens who have been evicted from Kilombo and Chicala 2 wards, in the urban district of Ingombota, have sold the houses they received from the government, in Zango 4 locality, in the ambit of re-housing the families whose houses are located in risky areas of the city.
On the other hand, the press has also been reporting that those relocated citizens are now homeless and without any assistance.
This fact, he said, do not correspond to the truth and aim at taking political advantage from some opposition parties.
"Due to a goodwill of the government, mainly the President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos, it has been decided the transfer of these citizens to better areas, explained the politician.
