A new power app, 247electric has been invented to impact on the nation’s economy, using the innovative solution to tackle the range of problems in the electricity supply value chain, The Guardian reports.
The Business Development Manager, 247electric, Eno Bassey, said the app is a power sector focused platform that collects data by engaging enterprising smart phone owners to eradicate problems in the power sector. He also disclosed that the solution leverages technology and the internet to support power distribution companies to drive revenue collection, while creating new age employment and improved service delivery.
According to him, the platform strategically provides incentives and rewards users for reporting sabotage and posting to the platform as data collected are intelligently assigned by the platform to relevant organisations for resolution, which improves energy availability. Bassey stressed that the app also brings convenience to making payments and buying electricity from mobile phones easily, which will improve the revenue collection challenges of the entire sector’s value chain.
