Painful exit: Passenger killed when bus plunged into ditch and caught fire following chase by NSCDC officials, laid to rest amid tears

One of the passengers who died when a bus plunged into a ditch and caught fire after it was shot at by NSCDC officials in Enugu state, has been laid to rest.

The 30 year-old Frank Ikpechukwu Abodenyi, was from Umuofiagu, Ukehe in Igbo Etiti, Nsukka, Enugu state. He was laid to rest on Wednesday, March 28, six days after the accident that claimed his life.

Frank was travelling in a commercial bus on March 22 when an official of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, allegedly fired shots at the bus at Milkin hill, Ngwo, Enugu state. The bus was said to have somersaulted and fell on some of the passengers before it went up in flames. Frank was one of the casualties.
