Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso
NIGERIA (Abuja)-The Kano State Government has approved N23 million for the implementation of four rounds of polio immunization plus day campaign in the state.
This was said by the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Umar Faruk, at a news conference on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting in Kano.
He added that Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso also approved N250 million as loan for agricultural development projects.
The Commissioner added that N6 million has been approved as allowance for 197 students undergoing degree programme in Uganda.
“The council also approved N26million as registration fees for WAEC and NABTEB examinations for science and technical colleges in the state.”
According to Faruk, the council approved N49million for the purchase of teaching equipment for some senior secondary schools in the state.
