OSF Inter-School Examination is to restore Oyo State to its Pace Setter status in education -Hon. Sugar

The first phase of the Olatoye Sugar Foundation (OSF) Inter-Secondary Schools Examination for both Public and Private Schools was conducted today at the University of Ibadan (UI), Faculty of Education.

The Ibadan based examination which had about 148 students from 11 local governments in attendance was organized by the honourable member representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency and Chairman House Committee on Urban Development and Regional Planning. Hon. Olatoye Temitope Sugar.

Hon. Sugar while speaking with CEOAfrica correspondents at UI during the 2 hours examination stated that, Ibadan is the Fifth center chosen for the examination as People in Oyo, Ogbomoso, Igboora. Oke-ogun are also participating in the examination simultaneously.

Olatoye said ‘‘I realized that, the education sector of Oyo state needs to resume its satus as the pace setter and if care is not taken, things will get out of hand, although the government is trying but, they can’t do it alone. That is why I have decided to give scholarship to the best three at the end this exercise. ’’

Hon. Sugar further explained that the second runner up will be given a year scholarship and a laptop while the first runner up will be given 2 years scholarship, a laptop and five desktops for his or her school and the winner will be sponsored fully throughout his or her higher education in a federal or state school, he or she will be given a brand new laptop and his or her school will be provided with a brand new hummer bus. He however encourage students to see hard work as tool towards greatness in life.

The OSF Inter-School Examination  Chief Supervisor, Mr James Olusegun  acknowledge that the just concluded examination was a huge success as there was no record of examination malpractices and the students were at their utmost behavior. He laud Hon. Sugar, the founder of OSF for a timely program.

Also, the Media and Strategic Coordinator of OSF, Mr Gabriel Oladotun said while speaking with CEOAfrica that, students who participated in today’s exercise would receive their result at the second week of May and the 99 students which will be selected based on their performances will be invited for the second phase and the grand finale of the examination where the second runner up, first runner up and the winner will emerge.
