Nigerian Singer, songwriter and record producer, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, on Sunday night, won the Best ';International Act Award'; at the 2018 BET Awards that held in Los Angeles.
Davido won the award ahead of other international stars like Booba (France)
Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Dadju (France), Fally Ipupa (Dr. Congo), J Hus (UK), Niska (France), Tiwa Savage (Nigeria), Stefflon Don (UK) and Stormzy (UK).
Other winners of the 2018 BET Awards include: Microsoft Theater with Kendrick Lamar taking home to most prizes, for best male hip hop artist and album of the year for “DAMN.” Beyonce was crowned the best female R&B/pop artist, and Cardi B won for best female hip hop artist. Migos snagged the best group award, while SZA took home best new artist. Jamie Foxx hosted the show. Anita Baker received the lifetime achievement award.
In his acceptance speech, Davido, sent a condolence message to Nigerian musician, Dbanj whose 13-month old son died on Sunday.
