Hon. Sugar condoles with the victims of Bodija market

Lawmaker representing the good people of Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency, Chairman House Committee on Urban Development and Regional Planning, Founder of Olatoye Sugar Foundation (OSF) and Oyo state governorship aspirant under the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Olatoye Temitope Sugar has sent a condolence message to the victims of Bodija  market  who lost their loved ones in the recent clash that occurred on Thursday June 28 between the police and butchers at the popular  Ibadan Market.

Hon. Sugar made this known in an exclusive interview with CEOAfrica on Friday, June 29 where he advised the government to settle the issue amicably to prevent more loss of lives and properties.

The governorship aspirant said a roundtable discussion should be called with the concerned people in order for peace to continue to reign in Oyo state.

The law maker also called on the butcher’s association to see beyond the immediate and work with the government to achieve a win- win situation.

The unfortunate incident led to the loss of 5 lives and the market has been closed indefinitely by the State government.
