The Ibadan-based industrialist, Mogaji Agunleyinju Alekuso Beere of Ibadan land and the founder of Akin Fagbemi Foundation, Dr. Akin Fagbemi paid a condolence visit to Bodija central market on Friday as a result of the clash between security operatives and Bodija butchers on Thursday, June 28, 2018.

Dr. Fagbemi while addressing the affected traders said, it was gathered that the unfortunate incident happened due to the prolonged deadlock between the State Government and Butcher’s Association over the proposed relocation of the market abattoir.

Meanwhile, Fagbemi called on the leadership of the Butcher’s Association and the constituted authorities to find a common ground on the issue to avert the reoccurrence of such disastrous incident.

He however channeled his condolence messages to the families of the deceased and prayed that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
