In spite of moral decadence in the society, VirginsPride Network (VPN), a non-governmental organisation, founded by Mrs Nkechi Odebiyi is set to hold the 6th edition of its annual celebration of purity.
The Programme which will celebrate and appreciate Virgins and Nobles who has decided to remain pure in the face of numerous sexual temptations, is billed to hold on July 28th, 2018 at the Chevron Recreation Centre, Soluyi, Gbagada, Lagos state from 10:00am - 4:00pm.
VPN which is aimed at restoring the concept of virginity gradually going into extinction was founded by a visionary leader Mrs. Nkechi Odebiyi who was led by God in September 2008, to raise virgins who will stay pure and chaste, considering the prevalent immorality in the world.
According to Mrs Odebiyi, ‘‘Sexual impurity is one of the sins that God detests the most and that is what the devil is using to distract and destroy the younger ones. But God is using this platform and programme to get youths disentangled from the web of immorality that the devil has spun to destroy their future. Many of the young ones we nurture are able to withstand pressures and temptations from out there and they come here to share their testimonies on how they were able to stand firm. So, this network has been of positive impact on the youths and has helped them to value their pride and dignity.’’
She therefore, made a call to the federal government, state government and various NGOs to support this year’s edition in order to redirect youths to honour virgins in the society.
This year’s annual purity celebration registration will end on 15th July for adequate preparation for participants.
