The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) have decried the insensitivity and disrespect for the dignity of human life displayed by unknown gunmen and the Federal government’s inability to end incessant killings in Nigeria.

The CBCN made this known in a press release made available to CEOAfrica on Tuesday July 3rd, signed by the Conference President, Archbishop of Benin City Most Rev. Augustine Akubeze and the Conference Secretary, Bishop of Ikot Ekpene, Most Rev. Camillus Umoh.

The Conference encouraged President Muhammadu Buhari to be swift in his decision making as Nigeria could no longer withstand the daily massacre carried out by perpetrators of evil.
