Our collective rescue mission to reclaim our land and restore our value, has attended a new height on the journey to full-realisation".

Dr. Fayemi went on to call on other contenders at the poll to join hands with his leadership to commence in the journey to reuniting Ekiti state, despite the divisive nature of the contest.

"I want you to remember our bond of unity as Ekiti People. I Dr. John Fayemi hereby offer myself to be Governor of all irrespective of Faith or political party. I salute all my fellow-candidates for enriching the process, and for your civility and patriotism in accepting the outcome of this exercise. I look forward to consulting with you all, secure your input as we fine-tune our Governance agenda for the years ahead," he said.

He thanked President Mohammodu Buhari, his party members, family members, media, institutions and agencies that worked to make the election a success and bringing Ekiti back to the progressive pole.

We will proactively explore all avenue within the limited of the law, especially through the transition committee, to ensure that the outgoing government prioritizes the payment of back lock of salaries to
all categories of workers and pensioners".

Responding to a question asked by CEOAfrica correspondent on how he plan to run an all-inclusive governance and what his advice is to his fellow-contenders who lost at the poll.

He said, "In 2014, I
believe I did something that became a norm in Nigeria. I made a concession speech, despite the fact that I was not convinced I lost the election, which was later revealed to Nigeria public by those involved in that electioneering height. And I said, if this indeed the will of Ekiti people, I accept. And then I went on to extend my hand of fellowship to the elected Governor at the time.

The following day, I invited him to Government House and established a partnership with the transition team. So if you are asking me what my advice will be, I mean, experience is the best teacher. My advice will be exactly what I did in 2014. And I hope that is what the other side will take advantage of.
