Mr. Anthony Sani, secretary of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has cautioned political leaders from the northern part of the country to thread softly in their dealings with President Muhammadu Buhari so as not to frustrate his chances of success.
The ACF scribe expressed disappointment with the recent happenings on the political scene in Nigeria, saying, it will be the fault of the north if Buhari did not succeed.
Sani made the statement while receiving staff of the Media Trust Limited on a condolence visit to the ACF office on Thursday over the loss of its chairman, Ibrahim Coomassie.
He said the fact that the President and most of the players are from the northern part of the country behoves political leaders from the north to support the president to succeed.
“Saraki, Dogara are all from the north and belong to the same party with the president. They should support Buhari and not allow him to fail because if he fails, it would be said that the north has failed,” he said.
Commenting on the late chairman of the forum, Sani said his sickness slowed down activities at the forum as he used to be a very active leader.
He said the ACF leaders were hoping he would recover only for them to hear of his death.
The regional manager of Media Trust Ltd, Danjuma Isa Oboni said the team was at the ACF office to sympathize with the forum over the demise of their chairman.
