An Igbo leader has blamed Northern politicians for the general insecurity in the northern part of the country.

The Onye Ndigbo of Oyo State, Chief Alloy Obi while speaking with CEOAfrica in Ibadan, Oyo State capital , Nigeria said that the quest for power by Northern leaders is the major cause of insecurity in the northern part of the country.

He explained that the Northern leaders have ruled for over 35 years without major achievements across the nation saying that they should stop causing more problems for the nation.

The High Chief said that the Northern crisis is uncalled for as they are destroying their own region, knowing that all regions have a right to contest for the presidential seat.

He recalled that President Jonathan built schools and did a lot of developmental projects for the northerners.

Chief Alloy however cautioned the Northern leaders to watch their utterances adding that all regions are qualified to contest.
