The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) is ready to host the best congress of the Historical Society of Nigeria(HSN) since it';;s inception in 1955.
The pioneer Registrar of the Nigerian Army University, and former Head of Department of History and War Studies at NDA, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim made the bold declaration in a chat with CEO Africa  media team on Friday in Abuja.

" The NDA which is a Premiere Military University in Africa is known to showcase the best in all they do. I can assure you that the NDA is fully prepared to host this congress and it is going to be second to none since the HSN came to been in 1955", he said.
He further stated that the Department of History and War Studies of the academy had personnel who are ever ready to make the NDA proud.
"The NDA has supported the successful hosting of this conference. The incumbent commandant, Major General A.  Oyebade has contributed both financially and morally to the successful hosting of this conference. He is ever ready to make the conference worthwhile and also showcase the academy as a citadel of knowledge in Africa", he said.
He revealed that the quest to host this year';;s conference of the HSN was a fall out of the International  Conference hosted by the NDA in February 2017 on "Defence, Security and National Development in Nigeria" which had in attendance over ten Council members of the HSN.
According to him, this year';;s conference was secured via the instrumentality of the former commandant of the NDA, Maj. Gen. M.T Ibrahim (Rtd), the Academic Provost, Professor Sonny Azubuikwe Nwankwo as well as the immediate past Registrar of the NDA, Maj.Gen. I.M Yusuf. The then commandant   made the move to secure the hosting right, and it was granted
