Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai has backed the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) to host a successful congress of the Historical Society of Nigeria.

The Army Chief made the declaration in an exclusive interview with CEOAfrica media team  on Friday in Abuja. He said, " the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), which is one of the premiere institutions of the Nigerian military,  has over the years produced seasoned statesmen especially in the military who have made their marks in the development of Nigeria".

He disclosed that hosting the conference this year in Kaduna will bring to the fore the contributions of eminent Nigerians to the significance of the NDA as an institution that has contributed to national development and shaping the history of Nigeria to what it is today.
He expressed confidence of a successful hosting of this year's congress.

The 63rd annual congress of the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) is billed to hold between 7th to 11th October, 2018 at Nigerian Defence Academy Old site, Kaduna.
