BOKO HARAM SECT
The separate attacks launched by the Boko Haram sect on the security forces at Borno State, led to the demise of thirty-five people, including soldiers and policemen.
The ugly incident was said to occur on Sunday at police base in Bama, close to the Cameroun border, and at the Multi-National Joint Task Force base in Malam Fatori.
Lt. Col. Sagir Musa, the spokesman for the MNJTF confirmed the incident, stating that troops recovered four Toyota Hilux vans, 10 AK-47 rifles and Magazines, two G3 rifles and 10 x 440mm bombs including RPG tubes, 85 rounds of special ammunition, and three motorcycles among others.
However, special force and majority of the soldiers from the United Nations Peace Keeping Operations were said to have been deployed to intensify action against the Boko haram members in Gwoza, Borno State. The special force were said to have attacked fleeing people In Gwoza, believed to be habouring some top commanders of Boko Haram.
In addition, the Director of Defense Information, Brig-Gen. Chris admitted that mopping-up operation is currently on at Gwoza area, Borno State.
