All is now set for the inaugural lecture on the theme " IN DEFENCE OF TRADITION". The lecture which will be delivered by the President of the Historical Society of Nigeria ( the oldest academic association in  Nigeria ), Professor Christopher B.N Ogbogbo is scheduled to hold at the Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan on Thursday, September 6, 2018.

Necessary preparations have now been concluded for the maiden lecture which promises to live up to the pre-event hype. All attention will be on the present head of the department of History, faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan who would be breaking into bits the importance of preserving our tradition and preventing it from going extinct.

Dignitaries expected to attend the event include, the Vice chancellor, University of Ibadan, Professor A.I Olayinka, who will also be the Chairman of the occasion, historians from all works of life, the academia, and many others.
