Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has issued a strong warning to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that Nigerians are prepared for whatever political challenges may arise.

Yesufu made the declaration in a post on her official X handle on Tuesday, where she expressed confidence in Nigerians' determination to challenge the ruling party.

“Whatever they bring, we are ready,” she stated.

The activist said Nigerians were increasingly frustrated by hunger, economic hardship and what she described as bad governance, insisting that citizens were determined to vote the APC out of power in 2027.

She further maintained that alleged intimidation, electoral manipulation and attacks on opposition supporters would not discourage Nigerians from demanding political change.

The co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign made the remarks amid growing political tension over alleged attacks on opposition candidates in Sokoto and Ekiti states.

She also called on President Bola Tinubu to stop playing politics with the lives of Nigerians and concentrate on addressing the country's pressing challenges through effective governance.

Yesufu's remarks underscore the growing political tensions and heightened exchanges between opposition voices and the ruling party as preparations gradually gather momentum for the 2027 general elections.
