The President of the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) and head of department of  History , University of Ibadan, Professor Christopher B.N Ogbogbo will today deliver a lecture on the theme "In Defence Of Tradition" at the Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan.

The erudite professor of over 30 years has published several books and is presently the editor-in-chief of the journal of the Historical society of Nigeria.

He had in a recent interview with CEOAfrica stated that the inaugural lecture is an opportunity to give a " an academic report card" as it were to the general public and to tell the world what he has been professing.

The lecture which centres on preserving our tradition from extinction is to be chaired by the Vice chancellor, University of Ibadan, Professor A.I Olayinka.
