Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu is one of the Ministers attending the ongoing Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting being presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Shittu who has been battling with NYSC scandal was disqualified by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from contesting for the Governorship primary of the party in Oyo state.

Today’s FEC was the first one since he was disqualified by the ruling APC. Last week’s FEC was postponed because of party primaries.

In disqualifying Shittu, the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole said “Governorship screening committee was not convinced with explanations offered by Shittu that his service as lawmaker in the Oyo State Assembly and Minister was equivalent to the National Youth Service Corps scheme.”

The other minister, Kemi Adeosun who had similar NYSC scandal had since resigned from the cabinet. She has since left the country.

Shittu arrived the council chamber at the State House around 10.56am wearing black captan and a cap. He went from seat to seat to greet his colleagues before settling down at his seat.

CEOAfrica gathered that about 25 ministers are attending the meeting.
