CEOAFRICA.com gathered from Nairobi, the capital of Kenya that Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is on fire and it has been closed with passengers evacuated.

According to the Cabinet Secretary for Transport Michael Kamau, the fire was very severe and people were urged to stay away from the Airport.

It was also gathered that the interior ministry have started evacuating people from the Airport, although they disclosed that they have the situation under control.

Sources disclosed that many ambulances and fire engines have been deployed to the airport, but as at the time of this report, number of casualties and the cause of the fire remain unknown.
