All is now set for the harmonization of Kinyarwanda/Kinrundi, Kiswahili, Luganda, Malagasy and Somali cross border languages. The harmonization workshop is expected to take place in Kampala as part of efforts by the African Academy of Languages, ACALAN to harmonize the dialectical variations in cross border languages.

The Executive Secretary of ACALAN, Dr Lang Fafa Dampha in an exclusive interview with CEOAfrica in Kampala revealed that all necessary modalities have been set in motion to ensure a successful harmonization workshop and ensure that the objectives of the workshop are accomplished.

ACALAN is the linguistic arm of the African Union charged with the promotion of African languages in partnership with former colonial languages and using African languages as a tool for African integration and development.
