The Senior Programs and Project Officer of the African Academy of Languages, ACALAN, Dr. Babajide Ojo has called for the continued support of the Head of States and Governments of AU member states in their ongoing campaign to develop and promote African languages.
Dr. Babajide thanked the Head of States and Governments of the AU member states for the support they have received in all their programs thus far while also calling for renewed support for all ACALAN's programs and projects going forward noting the a lot still needs to be done to re-position indigenous African languages in its rightful state.
ACALAN has been at the fore front of promoting and developing African languages in recent times, the academy has been actively working on harmonization of cross-border languages to ensure a standardized form of writing for all the languages if possible.
As Projects and Programs Officer, Dr. Babajide is responsible for writing project proposals, planning and budgeting for projects from conception to implementation stage and was instrumental in setting up the current strategic plan in operation in ACALAN.
