There is an ongoing gunfire at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly complex following the arrival of Governor Udom Emmanuel and other members of the state executive council, moments ago.

Reports have it that the Five sacked lawmakers had earlier on Tuesday have taken over the Assembly complex and sneaked under a glass door they broke during last week’s attack.

The five irate ex-lawmakers who came into the house with a maze brought from the outside, moved with the speed, knocking down everyone on the way, with the aid of thugs and police guards. 

They purportedly suspended 11 lawmakers for being absent from the sitting. 

Nse Ntuen, the faction Speaker was observed escaping through the back gate of the assembly after he and his cohorts were notified of the governor’s presence, shortly after their meeting.

Meanwhile the real Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr Onofiok Luke has taken over and currently hosting the plenary of the House.
