A life is only truly fulfilled when it impacts meaningful to the lives of others. That is the story of Prof. Emmanuel Samu Dandaura. As he marks his birthday, thousands of others join him to celebrate a life dedicated to the service of humanity.
Prof. Emmanuel Samu Dandaura is many things all encapsulated in one body. He is a creative genius, an accomplished writer with several works published. He is a professor of Participatory Communication and a theatre critic. He has had such an illustrious career anyone would be proud of and that goes a long to show his commitment to impacting lives.
In the course of his well decorated career, he has served as Consultant to UNESCO, UNICEF,AU, EU and so many others.
Prof. Emmanuel currently serves as the Executive Director, Institute of Strategic and Development Communication (ISDEVCOM), Nasarawa state University, Keffi. He is also the Presdident of the Nigerian Centre of International Theatre Institute (ITI).
His creative work has also earned him several recognition at home and abroad. In 2002, he won the Gold Award for the play @Borderline’ as Playwright/Director of play category at the 2002 edition of KIDDAFEST held in Ghana. He also won the best Playwright of the maiden edition of the Abuja Writer’s Forum Award.
He was the Creative Consultant at the 2003 edition of the Commonwealth Heads of the Government Forum (CHOGM) hosted by Nigeria. In 2004, he became the Chairman, Training Committee of the Legislative Aides Forum of the National Assembly for a period of four year. He also served as the Editorial Team Leader of the 52 CPA Daily Bulletin of the 52 International conference of the Commonwealth Parliament Association-Nigeria 2006. He has been serving as visiting Professor to York University, Toronto form 2009 till date having also served as 7th National President of the Society of Nigeria President of the Society of Nigeria Theatre Artists (SONTA) between 2009 and 2013.
