Turkish giant Fenerbahce has completed the signing of Nigerian bullish striker,Emmanuel Emenike from Spartak Moscow of Russia at $17.4 million.

CEOAFRICA.com gathered that the 26-year old 2013 AFCON golden boot award winner expressed his happiness to have landed the deal which marks his return to Turkey two years after departing for Russian league.

"When the possibility of coming back was first mentioned, I said to myself 'I hope both clubs will agree to that and once a deal was agreed, I couldn't wait to see the fans and city again. Right now, I am just delighted to be back. It's like coming back home," Emenike said.

Emenike is set to be unveiled officially in coming days for the Turkish last season vice champions, who have Joseph Yobo on their pay roll.

The Super Eagles striker first joined Fenerbahce in May 2011 from Karabukspor, but left for Spartak Moscow in Russia two months after without playing a match for the white and yellow side due to match-fixing allegation, but was officially cleared in April this year.

"I don't want to talk about the dark past because there is a bright future ahead. I just want to thank Fenerbahce officials, fans and everyone for making this happen and for giving me a warm reception at the airport. I want to fulfil a huge dream of playing in front of our passionate fans,” he added.

Emenike was part of Super Eagles of Nigeria’s squad that conquered Africa at the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa, scoring four goals and claiming the top scorer’s award in the tournament.
