In order to clear the confusion of who to vote for, President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday tackled the inner crisis disturbing the Imo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the emergence of its governorship candidate.

Buhari, instead of endorsing the governorship candidate of the APC, Hope Uzodinma, or Nwosu who has left the ruling party to emerge as the candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), reportedly charged members of the APC to vote for any candidate they preferred.

However, the Imo state governor,  Rochas Okorocha is a strong backbone of Nwosu, his former chief of staff and son-in-law, while the APC national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, stands as a strong pillar  for Uzodinma, who emerged the APC governorship candidate in a controversial primary.

Despite the drama playing out in Imo state, President Buhari has gotten a full support of the state AA after the emergence of Nwosu as its candidate, thus promised to secure one million votes for him.

While addressing the mammoth APC crowd at the Dan Anyiam Stadium during his campaign rally, Buhari reportedly contradicted Oshiomhole who had mandated APC members to vote for Uzodinma.

He said: “You can vote for whosoever you want, do not allow intra or inter-party affairs stop you from voting for the candidate of your choice”.

Earlier, Oshiomhole had reportedly bragged that the APC does not need the support of the AA to deliver President Buhari in the state.

His words read: “Let me make it clear that the APC is not in alliance with any party, we have the power to deliver the president.

“You should vote for Uzodinma as our governorship candidate, don’t be deceived by anybody”.  He added
