The Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan and Metropolitan of Ibadan Ecclesiastical province has called on Muslim faithful to pray for the country, Nigeria as they join others all over the world to observe the Ramadan fasting.

His Grace, Most Rev. Gabriel ‘Leke Abegunrin, in His Goodwill Message signed by Rev. Fr Mark Obayi the Ag. Director of Soc. Communication, which was made available to CEOAFRICA’s news desk,  urged all Muslim Faithful to pray for the Nation and its people in order to overcome the trying period.

“Our people are daily being killed needlessly. Our belief is in Divine Intervention of the Almighty Creator to salvage the situation. Ramadan offers an opportunity to draw closer to God and deepen relationship with Him in total submission to His will to use the period to bring peace to the troubled spots in our country.

It is therefore imperative that you commit yourself to prayers for the peace, unity and survival of our country Nigeria in this month of Ramadan.” He said.

His Grace ended with a prayer saying “May the Lord hear your prayers for us all this Ramadan Season.”
