Stay clear of Osun election: AIG Omojola warns

The Nigeria Police Force has promised to be battle ready for the forth-coming gubernatorial election in Osun State slated for August 2014, the AIG in charge of zone 11, David Omojola warn today while speaking with CEOAFRICA.

The AIG said the present police force under the able leadership of Inspector General of Police   M.D Abubakar  are at alert and ready to make sure that security of lives and properties are guaranteed  before , during and after the election in Osun state . He further asserted any violation of this will attract penalty regardless of the personality involved.

The Nigeria Police force will leave no stone unturned therefore to deal with political thuggery and all forms of electoral violence. During the elections, thousands of  officers and men in the police force will be deployed to Osun State  from other states of the federation. The AIG advised everyone to be law abiding by  strictly adhering to the warning; saying, covert and overt arrangements have been put in place to apprehend all political thuggery, hoodlums that may want to allow themselves to be used.

According to him “We will have intelligence gathering and effective policing in all nooks and cranny of the state" AIG warns. Therefore those thinking they can manipulate the election should better have a rethink for their own good.

Furthermore, he said the police and other security agencies will ensure that Osun state gubernatorial election will not only be peaceful but free and fair.

The AIG frown at electoral violence and other vices, and advised Politicians to follow the rules of election. He concluded that the zone will work with the people of the state to achieve maximum success.
