Ahead of tomorrow Presidential and House of Assembly elections , Oyo state Commission of Police, Shina Olukolu has assured the people of the state that adequate security has been put in place to ensure safety before, during and after elections.

He made this known while briefing the press on the level of preparedness of the force towards the general elections in Ibadan on Friday.

He noted that the force has used the one-week window to perfect security arrangements for the elections. He added that close to 10,000 police men have been deployed across the state to ensure peaceful conduct of the elections.

While encouraging the people to come out en masse to exercise their civic responsibilities, he however warned those planning to disrupt the peaceful conduct of the elections to steer clear or face the full wrath of the law.

He concluded: “the people need not to exercise any fear because we have put in place  measures to ensure their safety and security is guaranteed.”
