The People’s Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate, Engr Seyi Makinde has assures that he will be part of deals that will bring growth and development to the state. He made this remark when he came out of the two hours consultative meeting of the coalition of leading opposition parties. The meeting held at the Bodija home of former governor of Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja. Seyi Makinde who spoke to the press after the meeting said that the consultative meeting of the coalition is still on course; to meet again the next day for final seal of the deal. He assures that the outcome which he is very optimistic will be favourable to all stakeholders, will be made public for all and sundry.

Leading opposition parties in Oyo state has formed a coalition against the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the March 9th coming gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections. The alliance which is said to be formidable include: the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Action Democratic Party (ADP), Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), African Democratic Congress (ADC) and others.
