We used guns and charms to rob, Robber confesses to police

The Oyo state Police command paraded robbers yesterday, whose names include; Saheed Ajibola, 30-years, Abiodun Daramola, 20-years, who were arrested on 6th of July 2014 at about 1:40pm around Ajao bus-stop Agbowo Ibadan where they invaded the office of one engineer and robbed him of his car.

According to the Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Indabawa said, a timely distress call was sent to Kajorepo police station, that five (5) robbers invaded an engineer at Ajao bus-stop and had been robbed of his Toyota Highlander Jeep. Due to this fact, policemen responded quickly to the call and gave the fleeing robbers a hit chase which led to the arrest of the two.

The robbers whose names are mentioned above are said to be residents of Amuloko area of Ibadan. They were apprehended with one Honda accord saloon car with registration no: GGE 434 CU, with which they drove to the scene, one locally made single barrel gun, seven (7) live cartridges, two handsets and charms were recovered from them.

"It is tribulations that made me join, although I was once a NURTW thug that was when I was given the gun and the charms to protect myself" Saheed Ajibola said. The suspects confessed to the crime and promised such will not happen again.

However, during the course of interrogation, the suspects mentioned their cohorts, who are still at large; efforts have been doubled up to ensure the arrest of their fleeing accomplices.

"Stay away from area brothers, they are destiny killers, had I know, I wouldn't have followed him when he asked me to accompany him somewhere, here I am now" Abiodun Daramola advised.
