The Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) stated that the Petroleum Product Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) was yet to remit the N4.423 billion it received from the oil marketers.

This was according to the statement by Dr. Orji Ogbonnaya Orji, the NEITI Director of Communication, who challenged the PPPRA to present evidence of remittance of the fund to discredit the audit report.

The NEITI Director of Communication purported that there was no evidence whatsoever that the remittance was made to the Federation Account, insisting that NEITI wants to see proof that these remittance were ever made.

NEITI  alleged that PPPRA was unable to make available its audited accounts for the period 2010 and 2011 for review during the audit process, noting that  the issue of records relating to transactions during the audited period remained uncompleted.

NEITI however seek answers to the unanswered questions still hanging on the neck of PPPRA.
