The Body in charge of South AfricaIEC has vowed to take stern action against people who double vote.
Various reports emerged on electionday of how some voters were rubbing off the indelible ink and heading to other voting stations to cast their ballots.
Electoral Commission's chief operating officer Sy Mamabolo said the organisation had been inundated with reports adding that those who attempted to double vote were committing fraud.
“If there is evidence of someone having voted twice, we would want that person instantly prosecuted. We cannot allow a situation where people are allowed to vote twice,” he said.
Earlier in the day, the IEC had reportedly received a number of complaints regarding voters who were turned back from voting stations because they had manicures done or had nail polish.
