Ethiopian Authorities had confirmed the demise of one student and 10 others wounded in the northern city of Axum after protests turned deadly.

The causes of the protests together with the student’s demise (how he was murdered) remained vague.

Local media reports state that students from Axum University had on Tuesday organized protests following a Tigrayan student at Debra Markos University in Amhara region found dead under vague circumstances.

The region’s authorities failed to give further information about the student’s demise, but guaranteed that further probes into the matter are at the vanguard.
