Super Eagles will encounter the Warriors of Zimbabwe in a 4-3-3 formation in today’s friendly game, with captain of the side, John Mikel Obi making his first start for the team since the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, reports Completesports.com.

Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi will start in goal ahead of regular first choice Francis Uzoho and the wounded Ikechukwu Ezenwa.

The quartet of Ola Aina, Kenneth Omeruo, Leon Balogun and Jamilu Collins will line up in the defence.

Mikel will be partnered in midfield by Stoke City midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo and Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi.

Head coach of the side, Gernot Rohr has opted for the trio of Samuel Chukwueze, Samuel Kalu and Paul Onuachu upfront.

The friendly encounter is billed for the Stephen Keshi Stadium at 6pm Nigerian time.

Rohr is expected to name his final 23-man squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt after today’s game.
