Manchester United are facing a complication in their bid to sign Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder, according to a report in Spain.
According to Spanish media outlet Colina de Nervion, Manchester United’s interest in the centre-forward has prompted Sevilla to make a renewed effort to keep their star man.
The same article states that the Red Devils were lining up Yedder to replace Inter Milan target Romelu Lukaku in the event that the Belgium international does leave Old Trafford this summer.
According to the same story, the 20-time English champions can sign Yedder for just £35m if the Red Devils activate his contract release clause.
But Sevilla are now ready to step up their efforts to convince the powerful striker to commit to a new long-term deal with the Spanish club.
