The national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has distanced himself from 2023 presidential campaign materials flooding the streets of Lagos, among others.
Tinubu said the materials being distributed by group campaigning for his presidential ambition in 2023 is unsolicited. The spokesperson for the APC national leader, Tunde Rahman, in a statement describing the materials as unwarranted said the promotional items being branded with his principal’s names were never approved by Tinubu.
According to Rahman; “We have seen pictures of face caps, T shirts, shirts and even leaflets with Bola Tinubu 2023 embossed on them purportedly by a faceless group which christened itself ‘Asiwaju Reloaded Ambassadors’ Nigeria’.”
He said neither the group nor its souvenirs been distributed are known to Tinubu. “We hereby, through this medium, categorically deny any knowledge of the group and dissociate Asiwaju Tinubu from the group’s unsolicited and unwarranted materials,” Rahman added.
