Atiku vs Buhari: Court fixes date for final addresses’ adoption

FCT, Abuja -                                        The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT)on Thursday, August 1, fixed a date for the adoption of all the final addresses by parties involved in the petition by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar against All Progressives Congress (APC)and its candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.

At the conclusion of the hearing today, the judge presiding over the matter, Justice Mohammed Garba, said the tribunal will adopt all final addresses on Wednesday, August 21. The adjournment for adoption of final written addresses followed after lead lawyers to President Buhari and the APC announced that the second and third respondents were closing their defence in the case.

CEOAfrica had earlier reported that the Buhari, during his defence called on seven witnesses and tendered documents including the certified true copy of his school certificate.
