Following the rejection of Telar Ring Deng’s nomination by the South Sudan Parliament, a statement released from the office of President Salva Kiir indicated that the country’s leader has willingly accepted the decision, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.

Mr. Telar Ring Deng was earlier nominated by the presidency for the post of Justice Minister, but due to series of allegation raised against him, his nomination was rejected by 150 members of the parliament, while 97 voted in his favour and 11 abstained.

According to reports gathered from one of Mr. Kiir’s aide, the parliament was considered by the president as part of the government and he “accepts and respects” its decision.
