Oyo state police command vows to arrest anyone inciting the public..........

The Oyo state Police Command has vowed to arrest and prosecute anyone caught distributing incisive materials over the death some Bodija trader that were killed in Maiduguri some months ago.

The State Commissioner for Police CP Mohammed Ndabawa while briefing journalist at the state police command in Eleyele, Ibadan said that the issue insurgence in the northern part of the country is not about killing a particular tribe but a simple coincidence.

CP Ndabawa described the act of inciting people in the state as criminal act, while advising anyone doing such to desist else the police will ensure that such a person is arrested and prosecuted.

He said that the victims killed has since been buried and the families have accepted their fate, but some people are distributing incisive documents in Bodija area of Ibadan saying that the killing in the north was not intentionally directed to some tribe in the country.

The Commissioner recalled that recently over 40 people were killed in a mosque in the northern part of the country while appealing to people to live together in peace as sibling.

He however advises the people to ignore such incisive document and allow peace in the Oyo State.
