Air peace CEO, Barrister Onyema bags UI ‘Most Distinguished Alumnus’

Barrister Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace Airline during the second stanza of the 2019 University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA) lecture awarded ‘The Most Distinguished Alumnus’ by the association in recognition of his invaluable contribution to the growth of the nation and humanity.

Onyema who spoke on the topic “NIGERIA AND THE RISE AND RISE OF ETHNIC NATIONALISM” noted that the topic is of utmost importance considering the high rate of discrimination among the Ethnic groups in Nigeria,

He said “All I care for is a good governance and the promotion of Peace and Unity in a multicultural set up"

As a convener of peace, Onyema said “If anybody tell you to get involve in violence, the person has no respect for your humanity, the person is looking at you as less than human, like someone to be sacrificed. When someone wants to pay you to engender violence tell the person to bring his son to join you in doing those things, they want you to do. We must seek peace in our nation at all times.”

Prior to this award, it is important to know that his works of peace has earned him several national and international honours and recognition.

Appreciating the award from the institution, the Air Peace boss noted that, “Very soon, we shall start flying Abuja-Ibadan-Abuja daily, Kano-Ibadan-Kano and Owerri-Ibadan-Owerri 3 times a week”.
