“The evacuation of the Egyptian diplomatic mission from China is fake news,” said Egyptian Ambassador in China Mahmoud al-Badry said on Monday.

In a phone call on DMC channel, Badry denounced these rumors, adding that such news aims to create confusion.

The ambassador clarified that the number of those who died of coronavirus reached 350 individuals in China, saying: "We must take action, but it should not be portrayed as the end of the world."

He asserted that the two Egyptians who were prevented to travel from China to Egypt are safe from coronvirus.
