The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone XI comprising Oyo, Osun and Ondo states, Bashir D. Makama on Monday visited Oyo State Police Command, Eleyele, Ibadan as part of his familiarization tour to the zone.

Speaking during his visit, the AIG stated that securing the country is not the duty of Police only, rather the responsibility of everybody.

He admonishes the traditional rulers, community leaders and every individual’s to actively participate in securing the environment.

Makama was posted as the new Assistant General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone XI comprising Oyo, Osun and Ondo states on January 27, 2020.

Speaking further, Makama maintained it would be more meaningful in securing lives and properties when there is partnership and cooperation between the Police and PCRC
