The National President of Amalgamation of Commercial Motorcycle Owners, and Riders Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Alhaji Samsudeen Apelogun urges Nigerians to continue supporting the Federal Government in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.
Alhaji Samsudeen made this statement in his goodwill message to President Muhammadu Buhari as Nigerians celebrates the ‘Democracy Day’ on Friday June 12. He also appreciates the sacrifices of Late Chief Kashimawo Moshood Abiola, and other heroes towards achieving democracy.
“I felicitate with President Muhammadu Buhari for the preservation of democracy in Nigeria as he strives towards attaining his good wishes for the nation,” he says.
He also applauds the efforts and sacrifices of the 36 state governors in supporting President Muhammadu Buhari’s vision in sustaining the Nigerian democracy.
Speaking on behalf of the association, Alhaji Apelogun, expresses concern about the COVID-19 pandemic, and the association’s commitment in assisting the government to fight the virus, as he implores Nigerians to do likewise in ensuring that proper precautionary measures are taken, as directed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC). He charges Nigerians to always adhere to safety guidelines as issued by the Federal Government on COVID-19 pandemic which includes: avoiding the gathering of not more than 20 people, using face masks, and washing of hands with soap and water when necessary .
In his final note, he states that despite the economic meltdown in the country, Nigerian’s should serve as their brothers keepers, and uphold unity at all cost. He emphasizes that the association is not in support of any form of agitation aimed at breaking down the peace and unity of the country.
